Can I switch from Spain's non-lucrative residence permit to a work permit?

Checked on

Yes. Spain's immigration regulation lets temporary residents apply for a residence and work permit from inside Spain, without a visa. After at least one year on a permit that didn't allow work, you meet the employee permit requirements except the national employment situation test. The new permit lasts one year and starts with Social Security registration.
