Lumen Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-30.2
Lumen is operated by DailyMind LTD, a company registered in Cyprus under registration number HE 439959. These Terms explain the rules for using Lumen at https://lumen.observer.
Lumen is software that finds the jobs that fit you. It works for you, the job seeker. It is not an employment agency or a recruiter, and it doesn’t give legal, immigration or career advice.
1. Acceptance
You accept these Terms when you continue at sign-in, where we say so next to the button. We store which version you accepted and when. If you don’t agree, don’t use Lumen.
2. The service
Lumen is software that finds the jobs that fit you. It:
- reads job postings that companies publish in their own hiring systems;
- matches them to your profile and preferences, and picks the best of your resumes for each job;
- keeps your list of matched jobs, and the jobs you mark as applied;
- links each job to the employer’s own form, where you apply yourself with your own CV.
Lumen doesn’t change your resume or CV and doesn’t send anything to employers.
Lumen Pro also includes Book a Call: your own public booking page, where other people book a call with you. It checks the Google calendars you connect for busy times, adds each booked call to the calendar you choose (with a Google Meet link or your own meeting link), and emails confirmations and reminders. Guests book without a Lumen account and can cancel by the link in their email. Guests can book up to 21 days ahead, with abuse limits per page: at most 20 new bookings a day and 2 upcoming ones per guest email (cancelled and failed bookings don’t count). Guests see your Lumen login email as the reply address of their booking emails, so their replies reach you. Book a Call is for your own calls: your guests have no account with Lumen, and Lumen doesn’t act for them.
We may add, change, limit or remove features for security, reliability, legal or product reasons. If a change takes away a main feature of a paid plan, we tell you in advance and you can cancel and get a pro-rata refund for the unused period.
3. Lumen is not an employment agency
We act only for you. We don’t work for employers, take instructions or payment from them, or place anyone in a job. We don’t guarantee interviews, replies or offers.
4. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 and looking for work for yourself. One person, one account. Keep your sign-in email secure: anyone with access to it can sign in.
You can delete your Lumen data alone, or your whole account (section 13).
5. Job postings
- We use only jobs that companies publish in their own hiring systems (such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Recruitee or Personio), not jobs copied from job boards. Some of these companies are recruitment or staffing firms hiring for their clients.
- Postings can be out of date or closed. The employer’s own page is always the final word.
- Free accounts can keep 1 resume and search every open job as job facts (title, company, location, workplace, posting date, salary if published, a short summary). Lumen Pro adds the link to each employer’s form, AI matching (scored matches against your resume and preferences) and Book a Call (section 2). If a Pro subscription ends, existing resumes stay, but new ones can’t be added above the free limit; your booking page stops taking new bookings, and calls already booked stay.
- Job descriptions belong to the employers. You may not copy, scrape or republish the job list.
- Companies and site owners can ask us to stop reading their pages or to remove their jobs at support@lumen.observer; we do it within one business day.
6. Your resumes
You own your resumes and answers. You let DailyMind LTD process them only to provide Lumen, keep it secure, fix problems and meet legal duties.
Lumen uses AI models to read your CV into a resume when you import one, and to score how well each job fits; each score shows which AI model made it. Lumen doesn’t edit your resume for employers. You’re responsible for what you send to an employer.
7. Applying
You apply yourself, on the employer’s own site, with your own CV. Lumen never submits anything for you; marking a job “applied” in Lumen only updates your own list.
We never create accounts or passwords on employer sites for you. Each employer’s own terms apply to your application on its site.
8. Employers
When you apply, the employer handles your application under its own privacy notice, even when its form is hosted by a hiring system. We can’t withdraw or delete an application from an employer’s system; ask the employer directly.
9. Connecting your own AI agent
This isn’t available yet. Before we add it, we’ll update these Terms and the Privacy Notice.
10. Acceptable use
You must not:
- apply for someone else, or send false information;
- copy, scrape or bulk-download job listings;
- probe, overload, attack or get around the security of Lumen or its API;
- try to reach other users’ data;
- use Lumen to break the law or an employer’s application rules;
- use Book a Call to send unwanted messages, to take bookings on someone else’s behalf, or for anything your guests wouldn’t expect from a booking page.
11. Plans and payments
Lumen has a free plan, available once per email address, and Lumen Pro at €9.99 per month, tax included. What each plan includes is shown on the pricing section of https://lumen.observer and again before you pay. Lumen Pro renews at the end of each monthly billing period until you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges and keeps Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
DailyMind LTD sells Lumen Pro to you and handles billing questions and refunds. Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited) on its checkout page; the tax included in the price is the VAT of your country. How refunds work: Refund Policy.
12. Your right to withdraw, and cancelling
If you’re a consumer, you can withdraw from Lumen Pro within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. Use the Withdraw from contract here button in My workspace, next to Manage subscription, or email support@lumen.observer. We confirm your withdrawal by email.
At checkout you ask us to start Lumen Pro straight away. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, you pay only for the days you had Pro, and we refund the rest. Details: Refund Policy.
You can cancel at any time in My workspace (Manage subscription). Cancelling stops the next payment; it doesn’t refund the current billing period, except in the cases above.
13. Privacy and your data
How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Notice. In short:
- Other users can’t see your resumes or the jobs you marked applied.
- You can export your data at any time.
- Delete Lumen data: removes your resumes, matches, the jobs you marked applied and your answers. Your account stays.
- Delete whole account: email support@lumen.observer and we remove your Lumen account.
- After deletion we keep your login account, a hash of your email (so the free plan can’t be restarted) and the payment records Stripe must keep (Privacy Notice). Job listings stay, because they’re the employers’ public postings, not your data.
- Book a Call guests: you decide whose bookings you take and what happens on the call, so for your guests’ data you are the controller and DailyMind LTD is your processor (GDPR Art. 28). The Book a Call data processing terms below apply; you accept them in the app before you set up your booking page.
- Google Calendar: Lumen uses the access you give to your Google calendars only for Book a Call, as described in the Privacy Notice. Disconnecting a Google account needs its upcoming calls cancelled or over first, then asks Google to revoke Lumen’s access. From the first try, new bookings no longer go to that account; until Google confirms the revoke its busy times still count and you can try again; once the revoke goes through, its busy times stop being read. Deleting your Lumen data also asks Google to revoke it, and deletes Lumen’s copy of the token even if Google doesn’t answer. You can always remove Lumen yourself in your Google Account’s third-party connections.
14. Our software
Lumen, including its software, design and brand, belongs to DailyMind LTD. These Terms give you the right to use it for your own job search; they don’t transfer ownership.
15. No guaranteed results
Lumen helps you find jobs that fit. We don’t promise any number of interviews, replies or offers: hiring decisions are the employers’.
16. Availability
We work to keep Lumen available but can’t promise it’s always up or error-free. If a paid feature doesn’t work as described, tell us: you have the remedies the law gives consumers for digital services, including a fix, a price reduction or ending the contract.
17. Liability
We’re responsible for running Lumen with reasonable care. As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as a lost job opportunity), and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €50 if you used Lumen for free.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
18. Suspension and ending
We may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe it broke these Terms (section 10) or created a legal or security risk. Except in urgent cases, we tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. If we close a paid account for reasons other than a breach, we refund the unused period.
You can stop using Lumen and delete your data or account at any time.
19. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we email you at least 30 days before they apply. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then and get a pro-rata refund for any unused paid period.
20. Law and disputes
Cyprus law applies. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protections of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in Cyprus or in your own country’s courts. Please contact us first: most problems can be solved by email.

Book a Call data processing terms
These terms apply between you (the controller) and DailyMind LTD (the processor) when you use Book a Call, under GDPR Art. 28(3). You accept them in the app before you set up your booking page; we record when and which version.
- Subject matter and duration. Running your booking page, for as long as you use Book a Call and until the data is deleted under point 9.
- Nature and purpose. Showing your free times, taking bookings, adding them to and removing them from your Google calendar, sending confirmations, reminders and cancellations, and letting guests cancel.
- Personal data and data subjects. Your guests: their name, email, the time they booked, their time zone and the meeting link. Not covered by these terms: the abuse protection on guest forms (short-lived keyed hashes of IP address and email, the Cloudflare Turnstile check), which DailyMind LTD runs for itself as a controller, as the Privacy Notice explains.
- Documented instructions. We process your guests’ data only on your instructions, which are these terms and the settings you choose in Book a Call, including transfers outside the EEA to the providers in point 7, unless EU or Member State law requires otherwise; we then tell you first unless that law forbids it. We tell you at once if we think an instruction breaks the GDPR or other data protection law.
- Confidentiality. Everyone at DailyMind LTD who can access your guests’ data has committed to confidentiality or is under a legal duty of confidentiality.
- Security (GDPR Art. 32). Encryption in transit, encrypted Google access at rest, access only through your own Lumen login or our service systems, rate limits and bot checks on guest forms, encrypted backups kept 3 days, and the measures described in the Privacy Notice.
- Sub-processors. You authorise these: Supabase (database, Ireland region), Cloudflare (application and bot protection, global network), Resend (email delivery) and Hetzner Online GmbH (encrypted backups, Finland). Each is bound by a data processing agreement with the same data protection obligations as these terms; transfers outside the EEA use the EU standard contractual clauses (Commission Decision 2021/914). We tell you by email at least 30 days before we add or replace one; you can object, and if we can’t meet your objection you can stop using Book a Call or end Lumen Pro with a pro-rata refund. We stay liable to you for our sub-processors. Google Calendar is your own service: we put the booked call in it on your instruction, under your Google account terms.
- Assistance. We help you answer your guests’ requests under GDPR Arts 12 to 23 (for example by finding, exporting or deleting a guest’s bookings), and with your duties under Arts 32 to 36: security, telling you about a personal data breach without undue delay, data protection impact assessments and prior consultation, as far as the nature of the processing and our information allow.
- End of processing. Your guests’ data is deleted when you delete their booking, when you delete your Lumen data or your account, and in any case 90 days after the booked call’s end, cancelled or not. If your Lumen Pro ends, nothing is deleted early: bookings stay until one of those points. If you ask before deleting, we first give you an export of it. Copies in encrypted backups are gone within 3 days. We keep nothing unless EU or Member State law requires it.
- Your obligations and rights as controller. You choose the lawful basis for your guests’ data and are responsible for it, for what your booking page says (your name, the call’s name, description and meeting link) and for telling your guests how you use their data; the guest section of Lumen’s Privacy Notice helps with that but doesn’t replace your own notice. You may give further documented instructions within these terms, and you have the rights in points 4 to 11.
- Information and audits. We give you the information needed to show that we meet these terms, and allow for and contribute to audits, including inspections, by you or an auditor you mandate, with reasonable notice and confidentiality. Write to support@lumen.observer.
