How do I report a change of address or circumstances on a UK visa?
Checked on
The Home Office says you must report changes in your circumstances while in the UK. With an eVisa, update your name, address, phone, nationality and other personal details in your UKVI account. Separating from your partner, a criminal conviction or a child no longer living with you go on the change of circumstances form.

You must report changes
The Home Office’s guidance says you must report any changes in your circumstances if you’re in the UK with a biometric residence permit (even an expired one), a visa, or a visa application awaiting a decision. How you do it depends on what changed.
Changes you make in your UKVI account
If you have an eVisa, you sign in to your UKVI account and update your name (for example after marriage), address, phone number, email, nationality, facial appearance, date of birth or gender, and add or change passports. For a new name, date of birth or nationality you need an identity document that shows the change. The guidance warns that an out-of-date UKVI account can cause delays when you travel or while you wait for a decision. You can’t use the account to change immigration details such as the visa itself.
If you don’t have an eVisa yet, you can no longer get a new BRP; set up eVisa access first. Until then you can still report a change of address online or on the form.
Changes that need the form
Anything else you gave in your application goes on the change of circumstances form, which you send to the address printed on it. The guidance names a criminal conviction, separating from your partner, and any of your children no longer living permanently with you. Visa holders also use the form for changes to contact details, a legal representative’s details, or dependants’ details; a change of address only can be done online.
While an application is pending
You can’t change your name or your passport in the UKVI account until there’s a decision. If you’ve applied but have no decision, use the change of circumstances form. From outside the UK, with a UKVI account, you can change only your email address or phone number while waiting.
